Hey Friends, 

My name is Courtney Hansen. I am a twenty-eight year old Wife, Mother, and Author! I grew up on a farm by Madison, SD with my loving parents Dave & Lisa and older siblings Brandi and Zach. My family are amazing beautiful human-beings and are so creative! I have 16 aunts and Uncles and over 30 cousins! we were very close growing up and Holidays are a Huge Deal for us! When I was Fourteen, I decided i was going to become a Firefighter/Paramedic and it was my only plan! Unfortunately, dreams don't always come true.  I ended up going to college for Medical Assisting in Watertown, SD. That Wasn't the right path for me either so I never finished college. Instead, I moved to Chandler,MN  with my boyfriend who was Twenty-Years older than me and started working as a dishwasher. Crazy I know! In 2016, I found out I was pregnant and got engaged to Jeff! May 2017 out sweet little Tate was born! I worked as a Cook, Dishwasher and a Bank Teller through out the past seven years. I also self-published Six books that will be available for purchase soon! The Fall of 2023, I started having panic attacks daily and seeing hallucinations. I was a nervous wreck and I was hospitalized in March where I was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia and Major Anxiety Disorder. I lost my job and started just focusing on my health and managing my disorders. I started making crafts as a calming activity and got the idea of creating my own business! Rustic Creations by Courtney was born! The items I make are One of a Kind, made with Love and Elegant! I promise you will love the items and you will cherish the details of each piece!
